What is Social Responsibility?

From my perspective on social responsibility, I am a level 4 because is show my values and attitude to encourage each other to participate in the different sports. Not only in the classroom but outside of school you need to show your rise values and show other students that you can work hard and always help each other pack the equipment. To me, social responsibility is Social responsibility is the idea that businesses should balance profit-making activities with activities that benefit society.

White Ribbon

In the morning assembly today a couple of 11s talked about this march they were going to attend on Friday the 23rd of November for White Ribbon Day. White Ribbon is the International Day for the Elimination of Men’s Violence Towards Women. White Ribbon aims to end men’s violence towards women by encouraging men to lead by example and talk to other men. Together we can make a difference and this year we’re asking men to ‘Stand Up’ by taking the online pledge and committing to take one or more actions.

Maze games and flappy bird codes.

What types of codes did we use in the games?
For the maze game and the flappy bird the codes were up, down, Move forward,
Move left and move right. The codes made us control the characters movement.
I lernt loads of things with coding you can use coding to create websites and create games.

What is success?

What does it mean to be successful?

To me, success is accomplishing your work in a high standard. Success is when a person is always working focusing on what your suppose to do and just making sure you finish your work.

What i value the most?

What do you value the most as a student?

For me, as a student, the thing I value the most is my education, for example: At school in my spear time, I like to finish off my study work and Just making sure I do my best in every subject. Another thing I value the most is about my peers, like just making sure they stay on task and always help them if they need it.

What are my goals for 2019

• Improve my learning in class.
• Helping others if they are struggling.
• Try my best in every subject. 

MInce pasta

Mince pasta

1. Boil pasta with 2cups of water until it's soft

Drain under cold water using a colander

Fry the mince with onion, when it cooked add sauce

Combine with pasta sauce and top it with cheese bake 180 degrees 15min.

Protest about 1080

My perspective is that I agree that there should be 1080 so that the possum and rodents don't eat the farmer's crops. I think that 1080 should be kept because without 1080 all the rats, possum’s and rodents will be able to eat the farmer's crops.

Step 1. 2 cups of self-raising flour
-1 cup of sugar
-1/4 of cocoa
-1/2 cup of old
-1 cup of milk
-1 egg
-step2 =combine all the scoop into the muffin tray. Bake 180 degree for 15 minutes

Table tennis trip

On Thursday the 20th of September a group of year 9 students were taken to Grace international hall in Glenn Innes. Those group of students was playing table tennis with Chinese elders, at first we thought that we were going to be terrible but once we got used to it we started getting better and better. I learnt to never mess with Chinese elders when it comes to table tennis.

Who are the cabiniet Ministers?

If I was given the choice of what cabinet minister role to take I would choose to be the Honorable Minister of Education. I would make sure that everyone gets a good education for their future. I would spend the money on upgrading schools in Auckland and buying technology so it would help the children in school. Upgrading the schools to having the technology is important because people need to make sure that everyone's education is well done.

What i learnt last week - Tongan Launguage Week / Freedom Writers

What i learnt last week?

Last week was Tongan Language week and i learnt that Tonagn's wear a touvala to a funeral to show respect to the person that passed away.Another thing i learnt is that the song 'Mamani oku fakaofa' no matter what church you come from in tonga everybody knows the song.When it comes to celebrations tongans are always excited because we just like having fun and we like food.Also what i learnt is that Tonga is gonna beat Australia in rugby.

What i lernt about the movie Freedom Writers?

The movie freedom writers is a group of american students with a teacher named Ms Gruwell and she told the students that she believed in them because the american students didn't think that they were good enough in school.Gruwell did everything that she could to make them happy,She took them to a trip to see what was it like back them and she took them dinner to meet different people that was there at those times.She gave the students a book, dairy to right in them,they could right anything in there ancd nobody would be abel to look at it besides the teacher.

Why do we need laws?

People made these laws so that we can follow christ and make sure we go to heaven.

We make laws so people can follow it and not to break and to always be safe. We need the laws so that we can have a safer community and safer.

Friends make rules so that there friendship doesn't break and that they may respect it and treat like there your family.

Tolerance -

Willingness to recognize and respect the beliefs or practices of others.

They were eager to learn when ms Gruwell them.

When the students drew a picture of another students, Mocking his lips - Ms gruwell spoke to them about the holocaust Another example is when the student told the class he was being evicted and tolerance.

I think tolerance of other races is important

Because…

We are all human beings and we should be able to respect each other because we're all equal.

Deporting

Today in Social Studies i have learnt that New Zealand prime minister has congratulated the Australia prime minister .The New Zealand government is also hoping to dialogue with the Austalian government to improve trantasman relationship.They wish to discuss deportation of New Zealanders living in Australia.Some New Zealands are being sent back without a trial.

Why businesses are good for me or/and my community?

My understanding of what a business means is that a business means to me that  business is the government provides parents and teens for a job.

Cybersmrt Assessment

What it means to be cybersmart and why it is important?

A bullying message is a cruel or mean text message sent to your mobile phone or email. It’s important because it makes other people feel safe.And just being safe online.

Two things you learnt about being cybersmart and how you could apply it to your own life?

I learnt in class that cybersmart is being careful online, what you say and do.

A cybersmart is just making sure your being safe online and your not saying anything bad to a person.

A personal strategy a young person can do to help themselves if they are being cyberbullied?

You could help the other person by asking Questions like “ Are  you okay?” , “ What happen?” Do you know why they did it?”. And another why you can help is by talking the student council.

A interpersonal strategy a young person can do to help their friend who is being cyberbullied?

Taking screenshots and by showing them on the internet. Also show the teachers and principal and have a parent meeting so they could talk to their child to stop the bullying.

A personal strategy a young person who finds themselves bullying other young people can do to help build their self-esteem and change their behaviour?

You can be their Friend and be sensible and kind, help them understand that what they are doing isn’t right and that they should stop before things get out of hands.

Plastic Bag Ban

Today i read an article on the Government decision to banning plastic bags for 1 year.
I agree with the government that they should ban plastic bag because the plastic bags are hurting the humans,Animals and the environment. 

Migration Model

There are many reasons why Tokelauans are leaving their country and migrating to New Zealand or some places. There is a Push (Negative) having just to go to like a different country because (For example New Zealand, people come here probably to come and have a holiday or to see how New Zealanders like.)The Pull reason (Positive) reason why Tokelauans are leaving, one of them are that there getting a better Education. Some Obstacles that may stop Tokelauans is Money, being addicted to drinking and smoking.

Essay plan

People in tokelau have made major changers to their diet .Over the past 50 years in the past they manily ate fish and other meat on the island.Today in tokelau,they are now eating palangi food like weet - bix.But my opinion is that palangi food is bad for them because they might get sick or might have diabeties.

Climate change:
The sea levels are rising and the weather is stormy.They are losing their beaches and other things that are important to them.My opinion on the climate change at the beach is that they should be prepared if the sea levels are rising and if there's gonna be storm then they should seek shelter and get warm.

The roles are changing in tokelau?Ladies in tokelau are now allowed to participate in the fono. his Change is affecting tokelau by Women are now allowed to be participate in the fono. My opinion on the change is that change is making a big difference in tokelau because women are allowed to join the fono and also do jobs that men do.

Polyfest blog

2018 Polyfest (Tongan group) Tamaki college

ON FEBRUARY we gathered a Tongan group for Tamaki college 2018 for the past few days we have been learning a traditional dance called the Maulululu and the boys are doing a war dance called a Kilou everybody in the group has been working hard trying the best and giving their 100%

One more day till Polyfest starts tomorrow Tamaki will go as a family and leave as family no matter what place we come we’ll come number 1 in our hearts we all pray to god to give us luck and faith.the kilou and the maulululu is ready for polyfest.
